On radeon driver: Can't start X11 in UEFI mode. All is Ok in Legacy mode. Fixed in 3.17+ kernels. See bug #4565. Please install the system in basic graphics mode, boot it with nomodeset and xdriver=vesa kernel options (in VESA mode) and then update the kernel or install fglrx proprietary driver.
On fglrx driver: Typed text is rendered incorrectly. See bug #5279. You can fix this bug by enabling Tear Free option in the Catalyst Control Center.
